Labor and Delivery Bundle

$90.00 $72.00

Most new mothers feel intimidated by childbirth.  When our only education is what we’ve seen in movies, this is understandable!  We believe that women empowered with knowledge can better tap into their own intuition, and this is especially true for childbirth.   This worthwhile bundle includes three workshops: Stages of Labor, Comfort in Labor, and Interventions during Labor.  With the help of doula, massage expert, and childbirth educator Sara Lyon, we address your biggest questions, including “what does labor feel like?”, “how can my partner actually help me during labor?” and “what if I need a c-section?”. New mothers will walk into labor confident and firmly rooted in their strength as women.

Workshop Descriptions

The Stages of Labor

This is the perfect course for soon-to-be parents seeking to learn about labor. Whether you’re giving birth in a hospital or at home, we offer an evidence-based, balanced overview on labour. By understanding the physiology and anatomy of childbirth, parents will feel prepared and confident when the big day arrives.

What You'll Learn

  • How is my body designed for labor and birth?
  • How are the first, second, and third stages of labor different?
  • What does labor feel like?
  • What signs might I see or feel in the weeks and days leading up to labor?
  • How will I know when labor is really starting?
  • Why and how should I time my contractions?
  • When should I head to the hospital or call my midwife?

Comfort in Labour

Far too many women are anxious and fearful about giving birth. Our goal at The Sibyls is for all women to have a positive birthing experience.  In this class, Sara Lyon, the author of The Birth Deck, will give you tools and strategies to ease your nerves during labor. She’ll discuss the role fear plays in pain and comfort techniques to manage labor pain. You’ll leave this class feeling grounded and prepared for labor.

What You'll Learn

  • What’s the oxytocin/contraction/pain cycle?
  • What hormones are produced in labor, and how do they help my body?
  • How does my uterus actually work?
  • How do movement and relaxation encourage productive labor?
  • What are the four main types of labor support?

Interventions in Labour

Labor is a winding path that often runs according to plan, but sometimes presents challenges that need to be managed by interventions. No matter the intervention, all women can and should feel prepared for their birthing experience. By educating yourself, you’ll feel confident and empowered, no matter your unique birth story. Join Sara Lyon, childbirth educator and doula, to learn about your intervention options offered in a hospital birth setting.

What You'll Learn

  • What are the methods of induction?
  • How can I help my body to work with an induction, not against it?
  • What are the benefits and risks of epidurals and other pain medications?
  • How can create a positive and calming environment in the hospital to benefit and quicken labor?
  • Why do c-sections occur?
  • How can I make an elective or non-elective c-section the most positive and connected experience?

This bundle is for:

  • Pregnant parents and partners

Black Lives Matter

We’ve always dreamed of The Sibyls as an inclusive community that is here to help mothers. Unfortunately, in the US Black mothers face tremendous risk when giving birth, largely because of institutional racism. Black women are almost 3 times more likely to die during childbirth from preventable causes. To help combat this injustice, The Sibyls will donate 15% of profits from The Labor and Delivery Bundle to the Birth Justice Fund

We also believe that this information is vital and necessary for all pregnant women. If you are pregnant but do not have access to this information and/or are unable to pay, please email for access to the Labor and Delivery Bundle at no charge.
